Using Fern

Fern is a personal planner for iPhone and Mac, available from the App Store. Fern is made and sold by Ranya H Moustafa (“we”). Use it for your own plans, and don’t use it to break the law or harm others.

Your account

You need an account to sync your plans between your devices. Keep your sign-in details safe. You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account and data › Delete my account and data, which removes your account and plans from our servers.

Your content

What you put in Fern is yours. You give us permission only to store it, sync it between your devices, show it to you, send you the reminders you set, and process it when you use Fern Assistant.

Fern Pro

Fern is free to download. Fern Pro is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, with a free trial for new subscribers. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe.

You subscribe through Apple (in-app purchase), and one subscription covers Fern on your iPhone and your Mac. Apple bills your Apple ID. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on iPhone, or on a Mac in the App Store › your name › Account Settings › Subscriptions. Apple handles refunds. Your purchase is also covered by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

If you cancel during the free trial, you won’t be charged.

AI features

Fern Assistant can suggest changes to your plans. It shows you what it will change before anything is saved. AI can make mistakes, so check its suggestions.

Fern Pro includes unlimited Fern Assistant for your own planning. To keep it fast for everyone, very heavy or automated use, such as scripts or one account shared by many people, may be slowed or paused for a while.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep Fern reliable, but reminders, notifications and calendar sync can fail. Don’t rely on Fern alone for anything critical, such as medication or legal deadlines.

Changes

If these terms change, we’ll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
